Eight Ways to Look Beautiful WITHOUT Makeup

16 Sep Eight Ways to Look Beautiful WITHOUT Makeup

Nobody’s skin is perfect, and a lot of women try to hide their flaws behind makeup and don’t feel comfortable in their own skin when they leave the house without “their face” on. However, if you enjoy wearing makeup and you like the way it makes you feel and look, that’s great! You do you! But, if you don’t like the way it feels on your skin, or would simply rather sleep an extra ten-to-fifteen minutes in the mornings before going to work, we understand that, too. For those of you who long to feel comfortable in their own skin without makeup, take a look at these eight ways to do so.

1. Eat Healthy

As we’ve already discussed, you are what you eat. Be sure to eat lots of Vitamin A (dairy products); Omega 3s (oily fish, chia seeds and walnuts); whole, fresh produce; healthy carbs; antioxidant foods and green tea. This will ensure your skin is getting the proper nutrition and hydration it needs to be radiant and glowing without concealer and bronzer.

2. Lighten Up Your Alcohol Intake

Alcohol dehydrates your skin and can also make your face puffy. Your face will look healthy, fresh, and firmer if you limit your alcohol intake.

3. Exfoliate

Regular exfoliation removes dead skin cells that can make your face look dry, patchy and flaky. Your skin will absolutely glow if you exfoliate properly – not every single day and do it gently. Don’t rub your face raw.

4. Drink Warm Water with Lemon

This beverage will help you flush toxins out of your body. It helps with skin sensitivities and helps your skin have a healthy glow, because your body is hydrated. Especially if you drink this instead of coffee or tea in the morning.

5. Washing Your Hair

We’re not suggesting you wash your hair every single day (because that makes you have dry scalp and damages your hair). However, every other day or every three days is ideal. How does washing your hair affect your face? Greasy hair not only makes you look dirty and not put together, but if it touches the skin on your face, it could clog your pores and make you break out.

6. Wash Your Face Twice a Day

Washing your face twice a day helps open your pores and removes dirt and pollution in your face that could cause acne and other blemishes.

7. Sunscreen

Every dermatologist on the planet would suggest wearing sunscreen every day when you leave the house. It protects your skin from UV Rays and keeps it from burning and becoming dried out. Even better reason – it helps prevent skin cancer! So not only will you have natural beauty, but you’ll be healthy on the inside and out.

8. Toner

After your morning wash of your face, applying toner will help lighten and tighten your skin. It also removes any leftover grease or oil your face wash accidentally left behind.
